Justin Webster Earns First Career Conference Player of the Week Nod

FREELAND, Mich. - The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced today that Adrian College men's basketball senior Justin Webster as the MIAA Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Webster had a career weekend, scoring 57 points and hauling in 24 rebounds in a two-win weekend at the St. Andrews Products Classic hosted by Trine University.

The Adrian, Michigan native started the weekend scoring 29 points on 9-12 (75%) shooting while also hauling in 12 boards. It was his second double-double of the season and helped lead the Bulldogs to a 66-53 win over third-ranked Wisconsin-Whitewater. It was the first victory over a top-three non-conference opponent in program history.

Webster followed up that performance with a 28-point, 12 rebound game in a convincing win, 86-73, over Wisconsin Lutheran College the next day. It was the second straight double-double, third this season, for Webster as he led Adrian to a 2-0 record--the only team in the classic to go undefeated.

This is the first MIAA player of the week honor for Webster's collegiate career and also the first for the men's basketball program this season.

The Bulldogs will host Great Lake Christian this Friday, December 15 in the Merillat Sports and Fitness Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m., ET.
