GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Adrian College men's basketball team fell 94-72 at Calvin after the Knights scored 54 points in the second half. Justin Webster finished with 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Bulldogs in the losing effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Calvin went on an 8-0 run in the first half to build an 11-4 lead in the opening four minutes of the game. Jordan Harris and Sam Colbert each hit a three-point jumper to cut the Adrian deficit to just one point, 11-10. Webster followed up with a jumper to give the Bulldogs a 12-11 lead with 13:54 remaining in the half. The Knights responded with an 8-2 run to retake the lead, 19-14. The Bulldogs tied the game at 21 off a Harris jumper with 9:10 left before the half. The score was tied again at 28 (4:56), 34 (2:06), and 37 (1:30). Derrick Devries made the final shot--a three-pointer--to give Calvin the 40-37 lead as the teams entered the locker rooms.
Luke Morrison hit a layup to give the Knights the game's first double-digit lead, 57-46, with 13:22 remaining in regulation. The Bulldogs cut the lead to seven, 63-56, with 8:28 left in the half before Calvin went on an 8-0 run to increase the lead to 15 with just under seven minutes left on the clock. A 7-0 run increased the lead to 21 points, 81-60, and a 6-0 run gave the Knights a 24-point lead--largest of the game--with only 52 seconds remaining.
• Harris finished with 20 points, three assists, a steal, and a block.
• Webster added three assists and a steal to his stat line.
• Colbert added eight points and two rebounds to the cause.
• Derrick DeVries had a game-high 29 points to lead Calvin.
• Austin Bykerk had 20 points and a team-high eight rebounds while Tony Canonie and Michael Wilks finished with 11 points. Canonie also had a team-high seven assists.
Adrian returns home for a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) matchup against Albion on Wednesday, January 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m., ET.
