The first half started out defensive and low scoring, with only 14 total points scored halfway through the first 20 and Adrian holding an 8-6 lead. The game started to open up after that, with the Bulldogs' defense continuing to limit Alma's look at the basket with steals and blocks. AC finished the first half with two blocked shots and four steals while holding the Scots to shooting 33.3% from the floor and 12.5% from deep. The half ended just like it started, in a tie, 28-28.

Alma started to pull away in the middle stages of the second half, opening a 10-point lead with 10 minutes remaining. The Black and Gold didn't back down and mounted a comeback, tying the game up at 58 and then taking the lead with six minutes remaining on a three pointer from sophomore guard Jordan Harris. Adrian's 14-1 run to regain the lead was highlighted by a fast break alley-oop from Harris to junior forward Jeremy Kalonji early on that kept the team's energy high to continue the stretch of hot play.

The Scots wouldn't go away and hung close the rest of the game but couldn't regain the lead or even tie the game back up, with Adrian winning its second straight game, 78-74. AC kept moving the ball around on the offensive end after taking the lead, opening up space and resulting in few empty possessions. The Bulldogs got hot from deep in the second half making 6-13 in the second. Harris came up with a key steal in a 75-71 ballgame with 32 seconds remaining to put Alma in foul mode, which helped Adrian add to its lead. A free throw with seven seconds left from junior forward Ke'Shaun Wyatt-Morris put the Bulldogs up by four and iced the game as the Scots missed their final shot.

• Kalonji set a new career-high in points with 31 to lead all scorers in the game. Harris was second in scoring, dropping in 24 points and going 6-11 from three.

• Wyatt-Morris hauled in a career-high 17 rebounds, putting him in sole possession of eighth place in program history for most rebounds in a game.

• Ryan Stevens and Cole Kleiver led the Scots with 19 and 18 points, respectively.

• Kyle Woodruff and Stevens grabbed the most rebounds for Alma, with Woodruff snagging nine and Stevens eight.

The Bulldogs finish their regular season on Saturday, Feb. 16 with a 2 p.m. matchup against Kalamazoo. AC's lone senior Andrew Landini will be honored for his time spent as a Bulldog during the game.
