HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite going down 6-0 in the opening minutes, AC was able to battle back and even head into the second half boasting a seven-point lead.
The comeback started as Jordan Harris posted a layup to get AC on board, followed by a Robert Warrick jump shot, a pair of Jeremy Kalonji free throws and a Connor Pelham three-pointer to give it a 9-8 advantage.
The Bulldogs and Saints took turns leading, before the dogs were able to string together an 11-point run to lead 40-29 with 3:09 remaining in the first half. Harris owned a layup, while Trey Helinski had four points on a layup and two free throws, Kaleb Swick had a layup and one free throw, while Tyler Gillery had a three-point bucket.
After a little fight by the hosts, Adrian ended on a three-point run as Harris shot for two free throws and Gillery one, owning a 43-36 lead at the end of the half.
Half two saw more points from Siena Heights, as it was able to own a 77-75 lead with 40 seconds remaining in regulation. It was Pelham who forced overtime with his two points on free throws with 26 seconds on the clock.
The five-minute overtime was just enough for the Bulldogs to seal the deal, after trading blows with the Saints on and off well into the final seconds of the period. Harris, who owned seven points was the difference maker, posted a buzzer-beating layup with one second minute remaining on the clock, lifting his squad over the host, 86-85.
Junior Jordan Harris posted a career-best 33 points in the win, including the game-winning bucket in the final second of the overtime period. He was 12-for-24 from the field and 5-for-7 from the charity stripe.
Connor Pelham was just one point shy from a double-double, grabbing a team-best 11 rebounds to go along with his nine points. His two free throws in the final 26 seconds of regulation forced the contest into overtime.
Jeremy Kalonji had a second-best 15 points, going 4-for-4 on free throws, while collecting seven rebounds.
