FORT WAYNE, Ind.--Adrian College knocked down 3,507 pins to finish in 12th place at the 2017 American-Heartland Intercollegiate Bowling Conference Men's Championships at Pro Bowl West on Saturday.

The AHIBC tournament consisted of 20 baker games, then the 25-team field was cut down to the top-eight.

Adrian struggled with an up and down day. The Bulldogs were able to make a comeback toward the end of the afternoon by throwing a good last set of baker games that consisted of four games total. They shot a 764 in the last set, but it just wasn't enough as the squad finished just 71 pins out of the cut.

"This was a little disappointing because we bowled so well last season at this event by taking second place," Adrian head coach John Essenmacher III said. "However, we will have to put it behind us quickly because Sectionals in Allentown is going to be a tough tournament."

No individual results were provided.
