King and Storms Recognized as MIAA Players of the Week

FREELAND, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian linebacker Juwan King and punter Connor Storms its Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week in football for games played through Oct. 11.

Defensive Player of the Week

King, a senior from Hollywood, Fla. (Archbishop McCarthy HS), made six tackles, including three for losses and a sack, to lead an Adrian defense that held Alma to six first downs and 134 yards total offense in a 31-0 win over the Scots. It's the first time King has been selected as Player of the Week in his career.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Storms, a freshman from Flint (Carman-Ainsworth HS), averaged 42.5 yards on six punts, placing four of his kicks inside Alma's 20-yard-line, in the Bulldogs' 31-0 shutout of the Scots. He is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
