DELAWARE, Ohio - The men's golf team captured the Strimer Memorial Invitational title on Sunday afternoon (Apr. 17) over six other schools in the final spring tournament of the season. The Bulldogs shot 604 (+40) for the two-day tournament and won by one stroke over Ohio Wesleyan. Adrian led by nine strokes after round one with a score of 287 over Ohio Wesleyan. The Battling Bishops made a valiant comeback on Sunday with a team score of 309 in terrible wind conditions. Adrian held them off with a 317 on the par 71 course on day two.
Mac Boucher won medalist honors with a score of 144 (+3) which was three strokes better than Wooster's Michael Peters and Ohio Wesleyan's Nate Fridley. Boucher shot 69 (-1) on Saturday to tie for the first round lead with Peters and then carded a 75 on Sunday to match Fridley.
David Sreiberg finished fourth with a score of 148 (+7) shooting an even-par 70 on Saturday and a 78 today. Sterling Emery placed eighth with identical 77's for a total of 154 (+13). Tyler Manning tied for 17th with a score of 163 (+22). Brad Haley tied for 29th with a score of 168 (+27).
