Men's Golf Third in First MIAA Spring Qualifier

WEST OLIVE, Mich. - The Wuskowhan Players Club was site of the first MIAA spring men's golf qualifier on Saturday as the top four teams in the conference begin their quest for a spot in the NCAA Tournament field.

Calvin College holds the lead after 18 holes with a team score of 304. Hope College stands seven strokes back at 311 followed by the Bulldogs at 313 and Trine University at 318.

The second and third rounds will be played at Watermark Country Club in Grand Rapids on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20. The team with the lowest score from all three rounds will be into the NCAA Tournament.

Connor Doria and Jordan Pittman each fired a 77 to lead the Bulldogs. Doria shot 38-39 while Pittman went 41-36.

Cam McKee followed with a 78 (39-39) and Brad Haley's 81 rounded out the team scoring for Adrian.
