ALBION, Mich. – Head Coach Ryan Williams could not have asked for a much better start to the fall MIAA Jamboree series as Adrian College fired a 320 and finished second on Thursday. The Bulldogs were three strokes behind Hope College in the 18-hole startup hosted by Albion College. Trine University was right on the heels of Adrian College with a 321 on the afternoon.
"The course was challenging today and I'm proud of how our guys hung tough," said first-year coach Williams. "We have a long fall but this was a great start because I know our lineup can play better."
Three golfers were in the top 10 for the Bulldogs led by Cameron McKee. He shot a five-over par 77 and tied for eighth. Brandon Skytta and Jordan Pittman each carded a 78 and tied for 10th. The largest scoring gap was the fourth spot as Connor Doria shot 87 and tied for 31st. In total, five teams were within five strokes of each other in a very competitive jamboree.
