ADRIAN, Mich. – The men's golf squad was on familiar terrain on Friday afternoon as they hosted the second MIAA Jamboree of the fall at Lenawee Country Club. Just like the first installment, the Bulldogs finished second with a team score of 301 and were three strokes back of Calvin College.
Brandon Skytta in the fourth position for team order carded a team-best, one-over par 72 and finished fourth overall. David Smith of Kalamazoo College took medalist honors with a one-under par 70.
Cameron McKee tied for eighth with a 75. Connor Doria finished third among his teammates with a score of 76 which tied for 12th place. Brad Haley's 78 was the last score to count towards the team total and he finished tied for 25th.
"I was very pleased with our scoring today considering it was rather cool for this time of year," said head coach Ryan Williams. "It is always nice to win your own tournament, but I like our consistency and hope it continues over the next few weeks."
Other golfers of note that played as individuals were Jarrett Patterson who shot 75 and Nick Hocker who finished with a 76. The next MIAA Jamboree will be Wednesday, Sept. 18 hosted by Olivet College at Bedford Valley Country Club.
