Men's Golf Slips to Fourth in Standings

ANGOLA, Ind. - The course and weather were perfect on Saturday for the sixth MIAA Jamboree and several teams went low at Zollner Golf Course on the campus of Trine University. The Bulldogs entered the round third in the MIAA standings 10 strokes behind Calvin and Hope. The team finished fourth with a score of 296 and have slipped into fourth overall in the conference as Calvin and Trine tied for the lead at 288 and Hope finished third at 294. The top four finishers after two more rounds will qualify for the spring tournament automatic qualifier into the NCAA postseason.

The Bulldogs had a couple of noteworthy performances as Connor Doria tied for second with a one-under par 70. Cam McKee shot even-par 71 and tied for fourth. Unfortunately a gap of five strokes was between the second and third finisher. Jordan Pittman tied for 20th with a 76 and Brandon Skytta finished tied for 34th with a 79.
