WEST OLIVE, Mich. - The men's golf team was looking to creep a little closer towards third place in the MIAA standings on Thursday (Oct. 2) at the seventh MIAA Jamboree hosted by Hope College at Wuskowhan Players Club. The Bulldogs could not make up any strokes on the Knights of Calvin College by placing fifth on the afternoon with a team total of 307 strokes. Trine University won the jamboree with a team score of 293 as Cody Knapp shared medalist honors with Winton Munch of Hope (-1, 70). Hope was one stroke back of the Thunder for second followed by Calvin (302) and Kalamazoo (306).
Ryan Lowe carded his best round of the season and tied with teammate Cameron McKee for seventh place. The tandem shot a three-over par 74 as Lowe split his scorecard at 36-38. McKee continued his consistent play with even 37's on both sides. Nick Hocker tied for 12th with a four-over par 75. The fourth spot of the lineup saw Jordan Juday card an 84.
