GRANVILLE, Ohio--The Adrian College men's golf team traveled to the Denison University Golf Club over the weekend to compete in the Ted Barclay Spring Invitational. The Bulldogs finished sixth in the tournament with a score of 314 in the lone round of the event--just a stroke shy of No. 5 Wooster (313) and two away from fourth-place host school Denison (312).
The tournament, which was scheduled for 36 holes, was shortened after Saturday's round was canceled due to inclement weather.
Senior Nick Hocker had a great day to lead the Bulldogs, finishing the tournament alone in third place out of 48 individuals. His even-par score of 71 was only one stroke from tying for the lead.
Adrian will next compete in the Steven L. Tyler Intercollegiate which will take place at the Moors Golf Course in Portage, Mich., on Monday, April 11.
Kenyon (292, +8) defeated DePauw (300, +16) by eight shots to top the eight-team field on the 6,559-yard course.
