ADRIAN, Mich.--In the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the fall schedule, the host Adrian College Bulldogs picked a great time to register their lowest round as a team on Tuesday. Adrian had a collective score of 298 to wind up in third place out of eight schools.
Adrian junior Andrew Skibski fired an even-par 71 on the 6,289-yard Lenawee Country Club course to earn a second-place tie with two others. Senior Zak Hart also finished in the top-10 with a 74, and he was followed by freshman Brett McGugan with a 76 (T-16th), junior Johnathan Roscoe carded a 77 (T-21st) and freshman Noah Kosal (78) came in tied for 25th.
Bulldog individuals included freshman Hayden Winch (76, T-16th), senior Josh Hosking (81, T-34th), freshman Carter Clarke (83, T-41st), juniors Trevor Boyd (87, T-44th), Bryan Yim (87, T-44th), Jack Stover (89, T-47th).
The last time Adrian had shot under 300 as a team was on Sep. 6, 2015, when it had an identical 298 during the second round at the Wooster College Gatorade Intercollegiate Invitational in Lawrence, Ohio.
Justin Kapke of sixth-place Albion College was the medalist with a 2-under 69. Hope and Calvin colleges tied for the winning team score with a 291.
Adrian returns to the links on Saturday (1 p.m.) when it travel to the MIAA Jamboree#2 hosted by Alma College at the Pine River Country Club.
