JACKSON, Mich.--The Adrian College men's golf team hosted the 2018 Irish Hills Intercollegiate Invitational here at the Grande Golf Club, and the Bulldogs recorded a 299+301=600 team score for fourth place out of 12 squads.
Senior Andrew Skibski led the way for Adrian with a 73+74=147 for a seventh-place tie, followed by freshman Jackson Tellerico (76+73=149, T-11th), and sophomores Hayden Winch (77+76=153, T-20th), Noah Kosal (73+82=155, T-26th), Brett McGugan (78+78=156, T-29th). Tellerico's 73 was tied for the team lead and the lowest-round score so far in his collegiate career.
Playing for the Bulldogs' "B" squad were senior Johnathan Roscoe (81+79=160, T-38th), freshman Grant Terris (89+81=170, T-55th), freshman AJ Clark (84+87=171, 59th), senior Jack Stover (89+88=177, 63rd) and sophomore Collin Warner (94+85=179, 64th).
Adrian trailed only NAIA-scholarship Lawrence Tech (291+292=583), NCAA Division II-scholarship Wayne State-Mich. (288+296=584) and fellow Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association member Calvin College (294+300=594). Anthony Bolden (69+72=141) from the Wayne State Warriors was the medalist.
The Bulldogs are back in action next Saturday (1 p.m.) for the MIAA Jamboree #2 hosted by Trine University at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.
