Men's Golf Starts Season at College of Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Invitational

DOVER, Ohio--The Adrian College men's golf squad premiered Saturday at the College of Wooster Gatorade Collegiate Invitational here at the Zoar Village Golf Course. The Bulldogs had a team score of 310, which is seventh out of nine schools and only two shots from fifth. The final 18 holes are scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday.

Senior Nolan Duda, who played for Bulldogs men's tennis the previous three years, made his collegiate golfing debut a fine one by carding a 74 for tied for sixth place overall out of 54 individuals. Junior Brett McGugan is right behind Duda with a 75 for tied-10th. The rest of the Adrian lineup includes sophomore Brett Dudeck (80, T-30th) and freshmen Trevor Benoit (81, T-33rd), Jack Johnson (84, T-46th).

Mount Union and Muskingum are just ahead of Adrian in a tie for fifth with identical 309 scores. Baldwin Wallace (295) holds a two-stroke lead over the host Fighting Scots (297) in the team standings, and Evan Ferrara from host Wooster tops the first-round leaderboard with a 67.
