ALMA, Mich.--Freshman Jack Johnson tied his career-low and set a personal record for tournament finish to lead the Adrian College men's golf team at Saturday's Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #2 hosted by Alma College here at Pine River Country Club.

Johnson recorded a 77 which was good for 12th overall out of 48 competitors. He shot the same figure during the opening round of the Bulldogs own Irish Hills Intercollegiate Invitational last weekend, and he placed 17th at the first MIAA Jamboree on Sept. 9.

As a team, the Bulldogs came in fifth place with a 319. The rest of the Adrian lineup included junior Hayden Winch (78, T-17th), sophomore Jackson Tellerico (82, T-30th), junior Brett McGugan (82, T-30th) and freshman Trevor Benoit (93, T-44th).

In addition, junior Noah Kosal represented Adrian as an individual while shooting an 82 for a 30th-place tie.

Trine University swept the team and individual titles as the Thunder shot a combined 291 and Nick Knowlton was the medalist with a 2-under 70.

Adrian hits the course again next Saturday when it hosts the MIAA Jamboree #3 at the Lenawee Country Club, starting at 1 p.m.
