KALAMAZOO, Mich.--Junior Hayden Winch shot a season's best 73 to lead the Adrian College men's golf squad at the fourth and final Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the fall season on Monday.

Winch was two-over-par on the Kalamazoo Country Club course, which featured 47 competitors, to finish just one stroke shy of the medalist. The rest of the Adrian lineup included sophomore Jackson Tellerico (80, T-24th), junior Brett McGugan (83, T-31st), freshman Trevor Benoit (83, T-31st) and senior Nolan Duda (89, T-41st). Freshman Jack Johnson entered as an individual, but had to withdraw.

Hope College (299) edged host Kalamazoo College (300) and Trine University (301) for the team title as those three schools were separated by just two shots. Drew Dykens of the event champion Flying Dutchmen was the medalist with a 1-over-72. The Bulldogs had a collective 319 for sixth place.

Adrian wraps up the first semester with the MIAA Fall Final this weekend at Forest Akers West Golf Course in Lansing. The first round on Friday will start at 1 p.m., followed by the second round at 9 a.m. Saturday.
