ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College ACHA black men's hockey team made it four in a row on Thursday night using a four goal first period to propel them to an 8-4 home victory over Toledo, as the Bulldogs evened their record at 6-6-1.
Adrian ran off to a quick 4-0 lead in the first period with four goals in the first 13 minutes, as Robert Bathroy, Tim Foley, Patrick Campbell and Adrien Sebag all scored for the Bulldogs. Toledo's Justin Furry scored the lone Rockets' goal with 1:13 left to make it 4-1 after one.
The two teams traded goals in the third with Sebag picking up his second goal of the night and 10th of the season, while James Howell picked up his second of the year for the Bulldogs.
Gilbert Oldrieve was the beneficiary of the eight goal outburst picking up the win in goal to even his record at 3-3-1. For the Bulldogs, the eight goals continued an offensive upswing as Adrian has now scored 26 goals in their last three contests.
The Bulldogs' next action will come next Thursday night, November 19, when they host the Aquinas College Saints at Arrington Ice Arena at 7 PM.
