ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College American Collegiate Hockey Association Division lll men's black team made it two in a row at Arrington Ice Arena on Thursday night, scoring three times in the second period, on their way to a 5-2 victory over the Davenport Panthers.
Adrian scored first on a goal by Justin McFatridge, but saw their lead disappear before the end of the first period on an unassisted marker by Davenport's Skyler Emlander.
Adrian then took control of the game, however, scoring three in the first four minutes of the second period. Tyler Walkinshaw gave Adrian the lead for good just 91 seconds after the first intermission, and McFatridge made it 3-1 with his second goal of the game 1:17 later in the period. Gerin Hohl completed the scoring for the second stanza at the 3:50 mark, as the Bulldogs led 4-1.
The two teams traded a pair of four on four goals in the final twenty minutes with Alec Hooper scoring for the Bulldogs and Tyler Heyboer scoring for Davenport.
Adrian's Alex Armour had a big night for the Bulldogs registering three assists, including one on both of the McFatridgegoals and also on Hooper's final tally.
Drake Koegel anchored the Bulldog defense making 20 saves in goal to earn the win, as Adrian outshot the Panthers 42-22.
