ADRIAN, Mich.--The University of Michigan got a pair of goals from Aaron Maas in the final 5 minutes and 5 seconds of the third period to break a 1-1 deadlock and give the Wolverines a hard earned 3-1 win over Adrian College in American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 men's action at Arrington Ice Arena on Sunday evening.

Adrian took an early lead in the first period getting the game’s first goal on a power play goal from Henry Gabriel, with assists credited to Michael Butler and Jacob Remelius. But the Wolverines respond with the only goal of the second period off the stick of Michael Ficaro, which knotted the score at 1-1, and set the stage for Maas’s third period heroics.

Michigan outshot the Bulldogs 37-26 in the game, including a 10-5 advantage in the game’s pivotal third period.

Adrian will return to the Arrington Ice Arena next Sunday when they face the Grand Valley State Lakers in a 1 o’clock matinee.
