ADRIAN, Mich. – The No.8-ranked men's hockey team overcame a two-goal deficit to beat Finlandia University (7-17, 7-12), 5-3, Friday night at Arrington Ice Arena to remain unbeaten in their last 14 games- the nation's current longest Division III hockey streak.

With the win, the Bulldogs (20-1-3, 16-0-3) remain the only Division III team to be undefeated in conference play.

There would be four goals scored on six Lion power plays, three were for Finlandia and one, shorthanded, would be for Adrian. The short-handed tally would prove to be the game winner for the Bulldogs.

Finlandia went up 2-0 with two power-play goals in the first period.

The Bulldogs would rally in the second period with four unanswered goals. Andrew Dovey would start the comeback with his 11th of the year under three minutes into the frame and less than three minutes later, Shaquille Merasty would net his 20th of the season to tie the game at 2.

Less than six minutes into the second period the Bulldogs would take the lead for good. The nation's No. 1 power play would click as Josh Ranalli would score his 14th of the season and then Zach Graham would score shorthanded for a 4-2 lead just over eight minutes in. The Bulldogs would take the two-goal lead to the second intermission.

Midway through the third period, Zach Wilson would score his fourth of the year for a 5-2 lead, but the Lions would score another power-play goal, this time with a two-man advantage, to close out the game's scoring.

Shelby Gray, Graham would each finish the night with a pair of points to lead Adrian in scoring on the night.

The same two teams will go at it tomorrow at 3 p.m.
