LEWISTON, Maine - The American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced the All-American teams this past week and Adrian College junior forward Duston Hebebrand (Waterloo, Ont.) was named Second Team West All-American. Hebebrand is being honored for the first time in his career and is the ninth All-American in school history.
Hebebrand scored 18 goals and added 16 assists this season ranking 28th nationally in NCAA Division III. His 18 goals ranked 20th nationally averaging 0.62 per game. Hebebrand scored three power play goals and three game-winning goals this season and finished with a plus-20 rating and 72 shots on net (.250 shot percentage). He had three multiple-goal games in 2013-14 coming against St. Scholastica (Jan. 18) and twice against Lawrence (Feb. 7, Feb. 8). He has now played in 76 career games for the Bulldogs and has 27 goals and 37 assists.
"Duston has been a very consistent player this season and elevated his game," said head coach Ron Fogarty. "He was someone we could count on in all facets of the game and showed good leadership qualities. I'm glad he received this much-deserved award."
