WAUKESHA, Wis. - Adrian College's Kyle Brothers (Watford, Ont.) is the NCHA offensive honoree for the second time this season after helping set the tone during Adrian's weekend sweep of No. 1/2 St. Norbert College, scoring both game-winning goals as part of a four-point (3G/1A) performance. He netted his first just 2:39 into the opener Friday and made it 3-0 before the end of the first period with the eventual game-winning goal. His assist helped make it 4-0 before settling for the 4-2 victory. Saturday, the Bulldogs saw a two-goal lead get cut in half on three occasions, but Brothers game-winner gave them a 5-3 lead early in the third en route to the 6-4 victory, handing St. Norbert its first road-series sweep in nearly 18 years.
Brothers has a strangehold on the team lead with 32 points (17G/15A) and has scored five power play goals and an incredible seven game-winning goals during his first season at Adrian (15-3-3). He leads the NCHA in scoring with 25 points (12G/13A) and is second in goals scored. Brothers is tied for third in the conference in power play points (7) and tied for fifth in power play goals (3). He is also six points ahead of the nearest freshman atop the rookie scoring list. Brothers ranks third among NCAA Division III players in points and goals and is tops in game-winning goals and rookie points per game.
