ADRIAN, Mich.--The Adrian College men's hockey team doubled up the College of St. Scholastica, 4-2, in a battle of nationally-ranked teams on Saturday to advance to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Championship next weekend.

= Junior Austin Hervey scored two goals while classmate Jeremy Olinyk and freshman Cory Dunn chipped in two assists apiece for the Bulldogs.  

= Adrian freshman goalie Kevin Entmaa had 25 stops to improve to 14-0 on the season.

= The Bulldogs took a 2-1 advantage after the opening 20 minutes. 

= Hervey added an empty-netter with 1 second left for an insurance goal, after the Saints' pulled their goalie for an extra attacker. He has doubled his goal output from the five he netted during his sophomore campaign.

= Freshman Brian Bachnak was credited with his first career game-winning goal to start the scoring in the final period with 3 minutes and 31 seconds remaining.

= The visitors got on the scoreboard with 2:41 remaining in the first period, cutting Adrian's deficit to 2-1 on Derek Sutliffe's power play goal. 

= Goalie Tyler Bruggeman made 37 saves to keep the game within reach for the Saints.

= Keegan Bruce tallied his 15th goal of the season at 7:32 of the second period, with Dylan Nowakowski and Ryan Cooper credited with the assists. That tied it 2-2.

The Bulldogs move to 23-2 all-time in the conference playoffs.

= Adrian swept the Saints 4-0 this season, including the last three contests that ended up with a 4-2 score. The Bulldogs are now 7-1-2 in the all-time series.

= Adrian, the defending Harris Cup champion, also has won conference tournament titles in 2008-09-10-11-13.
