Captain Adam Davies Selected to the National Team of the Week Men's TOW for Jan. 5, 2016

BLOOMINGTON, Minn.--Adrian College senior defenseman Adam Davies (Bradford, Ontario/ Newmarket Hurricanes, OJHL) was named to the Men's Team of the Week on Tuesday.

The team captain becomes the third Bulldogs blueliner to receive the national honor this season, joining junior Michael Hoy on Dec. 15 and senior alternate captain Chris Leone, a three-time winner on Dec. 8, Nov. 17 and Nov. 10.

Davies helped Adrian to the Pathfinder Bank Classic championship at Oswego State with wins over No. 14 Williams, 4-1, and the host Lakers, 5-1, snapping Oswego's three-year title reign. An All-Classic selection, he recorded his first goal of the season in Saturday's opener over the nationally-ranked Ephs and finished with a plus-3 rating. The Bulldogs have allowed just one goal in each of their last four outings.

Davies has tallied a goal and three assists for four points this season to add to his scoring totals of 3+19=22 in his 90-game Adrian career.

The nationally-ranked Bulldogs (No. 2 D3hockey, No. 3 USCHO) take an 11-game unbeaten streak into their Northern Collegiate Hockey Association weekend series at Aurora. Friday's puckdrop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. and Saturday's start time for 4 p.m.
