2016 CCM/AHCA Men's Division II-III All-America Team

LAKE PLACID, N.Y.--Adrian College defensemen Chris Leone (Dearborn Heights, Mich. /Kalamazoo K-Wings, NAHL) and Cory Dunn (Trenton, Mich./Austin Bruins, NAHL) have been selected to the 2015-16 CCM Division III All-America Team by the American Hockey Coaches Association. That announcement was made Thursday evening at the NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship banquet on the eve of the "final four."

Leone, an alternate captain for the Bulldogs, turned in his best season in this, his senior year. He posted 11 goals and 16 assists for 27 total points to earn a spot on the CCM/ACHA All-America First Team. That easily bests his previous career highs of six goals, 13 assists and 18 points.

Leone was a five-time selection to the D3hockey.com Men's Team of the Week and voted the most valuable player of the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Harris Cup Championship, as the Bulldogs captured their second title in a row with a 4-1 victory over then-No. 1 St. Norbert College.

His conference ranks included a first-place tie with five game-winning goals, second with seven power play goals, second in defensemen scoring (27 points), third with 14 power-play points, and 16th in overall NCHA scoring.

Dunn made an immediate impact his freshman year, making second-team All-America, NCHA Harris Cup All-Tournament Team, and a three-time D3hockey.com National Team of the Week choice.

He was one of the nation's most prolific scorers on the blueline with 6+25=31 totals. He led the NCHA and Division III with 25 assists and 31 points from the point--totals that also were in the top-10 at the conference and national levels for rookie marks. In the NCHA, Dunn was tied for 11th in overall scoring.

Both Dunn and Leone were named to the All-NCHA Team, while Dunn also placed on the conference's all-freshmen squad.

The pair brings to 12 the number of Bulldogs who have been accorded AHCA All-America status a total of 14 times--all since the program's founding in 2007-08.
