We are halfway toward the top Bulldogs' moment of last year and No. 5 on our countdown is Men's Hockey which swept its way into the postseason. Adrian won the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association regular-season title with a 16-1-1 record and defeated Concordia-Wis. (3-0, 8-4), St. Scholastica (4-3 in overtime) and St. Norbert (4-2) to capture the Harris Cup championship.
As a result, the Bulldogs earned their third NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship appearance in a row and fifth overall in just eight years of existence. Adrian downed Oswego State in the quarterfinals, 5-4, before losing to eventual national champion Trinity-Conn. in the semifinals, 5-3.
The Bulldogs, who own seven conference regular-season and six tournament crowns, finished with a 24-4-3 record overall and ranked third in both national polls.
