ADRIAN, Mich.--The nationally-ranked Adrian College men's hockey team begins its quest for a third consecutive Harris Cup trophy on Saturday (2 p.m.) when the Bulldogs host Marian University in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Semifinals at the Arrington Ice Arena.
Marian (15-9-2 overall, 12-7-1 NCHA-South) defeated Lake Forest College, 5-2, in a South Division No. 2/3 seed quarterfinal matchup on Wednesday.
The Bulldogs are ranked No. 3 in the second NCAA Division III West Region rankings, slotted as high as fourth in the national rankings by D3hockey.com (No. 5 in USCHO.com), and are 18-5-2 overall and 17-3 in the NCHA South with 34 points--first in the overall league standings and rewarded with No. 1 overall seed in the Harris Cup.
Tickets for reserved seats went on sale Sunday online at Etix.com. General admission will go on sale in the Arrington lobby at 12:30 p.m. on the day of the game. The cost for reserved seat is $10 per person, general admission (standing room) is $5 per person, Senior (over 60)/Youth (under 12) $5 per person, and students are free with Adrian College ID cards.
This season, each round in the Harris Cup is single elimination.
