Freshman Vincent Paquette Lauded with NCHA Offensive Player of the Week Award

WAUKESHA Wis.--The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association on Tuesday named Adrian College freshman forward Vincent Paquette (Calgary, Alberta / Calgary Mustangs, AJHL) the NCHA Offensive Player of the Week, for the period ending Sunday.

Paquette led the Bulldogs offensively during their 1-0-1 week versus strong non-conference opponents Wisconsin-Stevens Point and St. Thomas. He totaled five points on two goals and three assists to go along with a plus-4 rating.

In a 6-3 victory Saturday over the defending national champion and then-No. 2 ranked Pointers, he notched his first career multi-point game with a goal and two assists--another personal record. He led all skaters with three points in the contest. 

During a 3-3 draw with the Tommies on Sunday, he extended his point-scoring streak to seven games with a goal and an assist.

For the season, Paquette leads Bulldog freshmen with four goals, six assists and 10 total points--which is fourth overall on the team.

Sophomore Trevor Boyd was the first Adrian skater chosen NCHA Offensive Player of the Week this season on Nov. 18
