ANGOLA, Ind.--Adrian College got a career-high five assists from Kyle Brothers, senior Austin Rust continued his historic start, and the Bulldogs scored two key power play goals in the second period to double up host Trine, 6-3, in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association men's action on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
= Adrian went 2-for-7 on the power play, using one of the nation's top special teams units to take a 4-1 lead after two periods.
= Murry equalized for Trine at 8:08 of the first period on a breakaway.
= Adrian took the lead for good on Yim's power play marker with 55 seconds before the end of the first period.
= The Bulldogs scored twice in the second stanza to go up 4-1. At 14:43, McCloy fired a shot between the circles past Young on crisp passing by Brothers and junior defenseman Cory Dunn. Then with just 12 seconds remaining, Thompson was the recipient of some tic-tac-toe passing from McCloy and Brothers, shooting the puck from near the left post for a power play tally.
= In the third period, Cooper made it 5-1 with a shot from the point only 42 seconds in.
= Nardicchio scored a shorthanded goal at 7:15 of the third period, taking advantage of an errant pass in Adrian's offensive zone. Adrian led 5-2.
= Rust and Hinderliter traded goals 5 minutes apart to complete the scoring.

= This marked the first meeting between the schools on the ice; the institutions are members of the primary-sport conference Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.
