MEQUON, Wis.--The Adrian College men's hockey team erupted for five goals in the third period to rally for a 5-3 victory Friday against Concordia-Wisconsin in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association action, highlighted by Trevor Boyd's go-ahead goal that broke a 3-3 deadlock with 2 minutes and 4 seconds left.

= Junior Bryce Van Horn had two goals.
= Classmate Dino Balsamo led Adrian in the face-off circle at 12-for-21.
= Reigning NCHA Defensive Player of the Week and D3hockey Team of the Week member senior Braden Hellems had a goal and assist.
= Senior netminder Kevin Entmaa (13-4-1) made 13 stops.
= Classmate Bryan Yim chipped in two assists and was 8-for-16 on face-offs.
= Boyd also had a multi-point game after being credited with an assist.
THE OPPOSITION
= Taylor Gauld had a goal and an assist.
= Goalie Bo Didur (L, 5-9-2) made 39 saves on 43 shots faced.
= Stefen Seel (8-for-14) and Adam Fauchoux (7-for-13) led the way in the face-off dot.
HOW IT HAPPENED
= CUW built a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Gauld at the 1:42 mark and Connor Hogg at 16:03.
= After the teams skated to a scoreless second period, Adrian got back in it in the third with a pair of goals 1:55 by Van Horn to tie the score 2-2 by the 4:23 mark.
= Just 1:14 later, Nick Guiney restored CUW's lead to 3-2 on assists from Gauld and Braydon Barker. Entmaa attempted to poke-check the puck away from his crease where Guiney pounced on it and gave the Falcons their last lead of the night.
= The Bulldogs, however, tied it up again 3-3 at 11:04 while on the power play. Yim found Hellems all alone in the high slot between the face-off circles where he rifled a shot past Didur.
= Boyd gave Adrian its first lead, 4-3, tapped in a pass from the right side by senior Connor Armour at the top of the goalie crease.
= Balsamo scored an empty-net goal for insurance with Adrian on the power play, sealing the victory with eight seconds remaining.
= Adrian outshot the Falcons 44 to 16, including a 13-3 margin in the decisive final stanza.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
= Adrian completes the season sweep of CUW, winning by an identical 5-3 score in Adrian on Jan. 19.
= The Bulldogs have never lost to the Falcons in 40 meetings (40-0-0). Adrian is 18-0 lifetime on CUW home-ice.
= Boyd ties Josh Cousineau (36G, 79A from 2010-13) for 14th place on the school's all-time point-scoring list with 115.
= Armour enters the Adrian Top-15 for career assists with 66, tying Josh Ranalli (2011-14).
= Hellems leads the Bulldogs with seven power play goals on the season and has set a personal record with 22 points on nine goals and 13 assists (he had 5+16=21 as a junior in 2017-18).
