MILWAUKEE, Wis.--Senior Kevin Entmaa stopped all 24 shots he faced and junior Dino Balsamo scored the only goal of the game in the third period to lift nationally-ranked Adrian College to a thrilling 1-0 victory Saturday over MSOE in the regular-season finale for both Northern Collegiate Hockey Association South Division rivals.

Balsamo finished with a game-high-tying seven shots and 8-for-17 in the face-off circle.

= Entmaa (14-4-1) made 24 stops for his fourth shutout of the season and eighth of his career.

= Reigning NCHA Defensive Player of the Week and D3hockey Team of the Week member senior Braden Hellems registered the secondary assist. He also had seven shots on goal.

= The lone goal of the game occurred with 6 minutes and 4 seconds remaining in the third period. Hellems pushed the puck ahead to freshman Grant Baetsen before he was checked heavily into the left wing boards just outside Adrian's offensive blue line. Baetsen opened up his body to deliver a perfect cross-ice pass to a streaking Balsamo, who one-timed the puck into the back of the net from below the right face-off circle.

= The Bulldogs also dominated on face-offs by winning 35 draws while losing 24.

= Adrian is on a season's best five-game winning streak.

= The Bulldogs also defeated the Raiders, 3-1, in Adrian back on Jan. 18. Adrian now leads the Raiders 37-5-2 in the all-time series, including 16-2 on MSOE home-ice.

= Entmaa's four shutouts this season are third-most in school history. Brad Fogal had five in both 2007 and 2008.

= Entmaa also is one shutout away from tying (Scott Shackell, 2011-14) for second all-time with nine for a career.

= Balsamo leads the team with four-game winning goals as part of 11+13=24 scoring totals.

= Adrian will host these same MSOE Raiders next weekend in the NCHA Harris Cup Quarterfinals on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 15-16. Opponent and game times to be announced later.
