WOOSTER, Ohio - A goal in the first ten seconds and the next four in a row gave the Bulldogs a fast start and propelled Adrian to a 16-11 win over Wooster on the road. David Monroe found T.J. Cook for the first goal nine seconds into the contest as the 5-1 Bulldogs outscored the Scots 6-2 in the quarter.
Adrian was in control for most of the game, as they held a 9-5 lead going into halftime. Adrian outscored Wooster 5-3 in the third period with Wooster winning their only quarter in the fourth, 3-2.
In the net for the Bulldogs, Kevin Lerg stopped half of all the shots against him, finishing with 11 saves and 11 goals against. This was another victory for Lerg, as the sophomore is also 5-1 in the net on the year.
Wooster did manage to hold an advantage in penalties, as Adrian suffered 12 infractions for a total of 9 minutes and 30 seconds of penalty time, compared with Wooster's three penalties for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. The Bulldogs stepped-up big when Wooster was in man-up situations, holding the Scots to just 3-12 scoring.
The next game for Adrian will come next Saturday, March 24th as the Bulldogs will head to Wittenburg for a 1:00 pm start.
