GAMBIER, Ohio - Adrian had a tough match-up coming into the game with 7-2 Kenyon, but the Bulldogs proved who was the better team, besting the Lords 11-4. Adrian coasted its way to victory, after leading 8-2 at halftime.
Coady Adamson started the scoring for the Bulldogs, scoring a mere 1:02 into the game, then adding his second goal with 8:07 left in the first quarter, making the score 2-0.
Kenyon battled back in the beginning of the second quarter, scoring the first two goals of the period and making the score 4-2. Adrian then rattled off four straight goals, as Monroe and John Hudzinski both had man-up goals while Adamson and Tom Theilman also managed to find the back of the net.
The Bulldogs put the game out of reach at the beginning of the third period, scoring the first two goals and making it a 10-2 lead. Kenyon was able to add two more goals in the game, but it wouldn't be enough as Adrian finished the game, winning 11-4.
Monroe, Adamson, and Kilcoyne all finished the game with three goals. Mitch Barnard grabbed 10 ground balls on the game, running his season total to 93. Kevin Lerg was solid in the nets once again, saving 10 shots while only allowing four goals.
Adrian continues its road stretch, heading to Carthage on Saturday. The Bulldogs and the 7-3 (3-2 MLC) Red Men will battle it out at 2:00 PM in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
