MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Adrian College men's lacrosse team continues to impress winning its 11th straight on Sunday (Apr. 15) with a 17-2 win at Milwaukee School of Engineering. Adrian is now 12-1 overall and 7-0 in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference.
Adrian scored four goals in the opening quarter to take a 4-0 lead after 15 minutes. Tyler Joseph got the Bulldogs on the board at 11:02 from A.J. Smith. Tom Thielman gave Adrian a 2-0 lead from Scott Krystiniak at 9:28. Mitch Burgin then scored twice to end the quarter.
Douglas Boyd scored a pair of goals in the second quarter. Burgin also scored once in the second and added a goal in the fourth quarter for a total of four goals. Tyler Tanguay scored once in the third quarter. T.J. Cook netted a hat trick in the second half for the Bulldogs. Burgin finished with five points as did Cook to lead the team.
Matt Hamilton won six faceoffs for the Bulldogs and grabbed three ground balls. Brandon Parnham was particularly strong on defense with five caused turnovers. Adrian's Kevin Lerg made nine saves in the game improving to 12-1 in net this season.
