ADRIAN, Mich. – The men's lacrosse team (4-2) jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back against visiting Brockport State (2-5) before winning, 9-7, Saturday afternoon at Performance Stadium.
Leading the way for Adrian was Cody Kilcoyne with three goals, three goundballs, and one assist. Tom Thielman and Drake Dailey-Chwalibog had two goals each, while Colton Brunk and John Hudzinski added single tallies.
The Golden Eagles outshot Adrian, 17-16, but Kevin Lerg recorded the victory in goal with 10 saves.
The Bulldogs took a 6-1 lead into halftime, but Brockport fought back in the second half with two man-up goals and eventually got within a goal twice before Adrian sealed the win.
Although Brockport held an edge in shots, groundballs, and faceoffs; they could not get the edge in goals as the Bulldogs remained undefeated at home.
Adrian will host on Carthage on Wednesday, March 27th at 7 p.m. before hitting the road for their following three games.
