Men's Lacrosse Hosts Otterbein in NCAA Tournament

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Adrian College men's lacrosse team (13-3) will host Otterbein University (12-5) on Wednesday, May 8 at 4 p.m. in the opening round of the 2013 NCAA Division III Tournament. The Bulldogs won the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament on Saturday, May 4 with a thrilling 12-10 win over Albion College. The Cardinals received its first-ever bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament as a Pool B bid because they compete as an independent. Otterbein is in its fourth season as a program and earlier this season defeated the Bulldogs, 13-7, in Westerville, Ohio on March 30.

Adrian will be making its third consecutive and overall appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament. It will be the first home game for the Bulldogs after playing the last two seasons on the road. Adrian fell 8-7 in overtime back on May 11, 2011 at Wittenberg and last season traveled to Denison falling 12-11 in double overtime on May 9, 2012.

The Otterbein/Adrian winner will travel to play No. 2-ranked and undefeated Dickinson College (17-0) in Carlisle, Pa. on Saturday, May 11.
