ADRIAN, Mich. – The men's lacrosse team (14-3) extended their winning streak to nine games with a 14-11 win over visiting Otterbein University (12-6) at Multi-Sport Performance Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Drake Dailey-Chwalibog, John Hudzinski, and Cody Kilcoyne led the way with three goals apiece.

The Cardinals took the lead early twice in the first quarter before the Bulldogs responded with a 6-5 lead at the half.

Adrian scored the first four goals of the second half to build an insurmountable lead at 10-5. Otterbein would have a late rally with three consecutive goals to cut the deficit at two, 11-9, but that was as close as they would get.

The teams would trade goals in the last half of the fourth quarter with Adrian getting three and Otterbein two for the 14-11 final.

Of Adrian's final three goals, Hudzinski would net the official game winner at 11:31 to put Adrian up 12-9 and Kilcoyne would add two goals in the game's final seven minutes to provide some breathing room.

Tom Thielman would add a pair of goals. A.J. Smith, Mitch Burgin, and Nick Levanti would score single tallies for Adrian.

Brandon MacDonald and Hudzinski would tally five groundballs each on the day.

The Bulldogs had the edge in shots (33-31), groundballs (32-28), and clears (21-for-22).

Adrian goalkeeper Kevin Lerg made 10 saves in the win.

The Bulldogs will travel for their next matchup this Saturday.
