Groves and Fannell Take MIAA Player of the Week Honors

ROYAL OAK, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Adrian attacker Eric Fannell and Adrian defender Max Groves its Players of the Week in men's lacrosse for games played through March 23.

 Offensive Player of the Week
Fannell, a freshman from St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada (St. Francis Catholic Secondary), scored five goals and added four assists for the week in leading the Bulldogs to a pair of nonconference wins. He scored three goals and assisted on two others in an 8-5 win over Oberlin, Ohio, and added two goals, two assists and three ground balls as Adrian defeated Brockport State, N.Y. 9-5. Fannell is being honored as Player of the Week for the second time this season and in his career.

 
Defensive Player of the Week
Groves, a freshman from Fishers, Ind. (Indianapolis Bishop Chatard HS), gobbled up seven ground balls for Adrian in its 8-5 win over Oberlin, Ohio, and added two more ground balls in a 9-5 victory over Brockport State, N.Y. He is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in his career.
