Men’s Lacrosse Falls 15-5 at No. 5 Denison

GRANVILLE, Ohio – The men's lacrosse team is seldom facing a large deficit but saw No. 5 Denison score the game's first eight goals on Saturday afternoon en route to a 15-5 decision. Denison scored twice on man-up goals in the first period as Blair Farinholt had a goal and two assists in the first quarter. Mitch Burgin got Adrian in the scoring column with 48 seconds left in the first on Adrian's lone man-up goal of the contest with an assist from Eric Fannell.

Burgin scored the first goal of the second quarter at 13:46 from Drake Dailey-Chwalibog and then Dailey-Chwalibog scored at 8:31 from Burgin to cut the lead to 8-3. Denison then ripped off seven straight goals leading 15-3 after three quarters. James Meager scored three times and assisted on another during the run. Dailey-Chwalibog scored twice more in the fourth quarter as Denison was held off the board in the final 15 minutes.

Denison finished 4-for-4 in man-up opportunities while the Bulldogs were 1-for-4 but 0-for-3 after the first quarter. Denison also controlled the face-off circle getting 16-of-24. Burgin led the Bulldogs with five ground balls and Kevin Lerg made 18 saves in defeat.
