ALBION, Mich. - The men's soccer team is still searching for answers on offense as they were shutout for the fourth straight game and saw their losing streak climb to five with a 2-0 loss at Albion College on Saturday (Sept. 24). The team is now 1-5-1 overall and 0-3 in the MIAA after finishing third in the league standings a year ago. The team has been outscored 8-0 to begin conference play.
Jimmy Nieman from Kyle Alsheskie was the story in this one as the combination accounted for both Briton goals. Nieman connected with the back of the net in the 17th minute and then added an insurance goal in the 21st minute. Albion had just the two shots on goal for the match but made the most of their opportunities. Adrian managed one shot on goal off the foot of Nick Minshall. Albion committed 16 fouls while Adrian was whistled 10 times. Albion led 5-4 in total shots for the contest.
