OT goes to the Thunder, 2-1, in Men's Soccer

ADRIAN, Mich. - It was another heartbreaker for the men's soccer team on Friday night under the lights in their home finale against rival Trine University. The Bulldogs dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to the Thunder who improved to 12-4-2, 8-4-1 MIAA with the win. Adrian now stands at 4-11-2, 3-9-1 MIAA with one more match left in their season.

Trine opened the scoring at 3:50 with a quick goal by Foster Webb to seize early momentum. Webb popped the ball over goalkeeper Zach Zeka at the top of the 18-yard box for the match's first strike.

Adrian answered at 42:38 as Akintunde Oluwadare notched his first goal of the season as he stole the ball from a Thunder defender and hit a chip shot from around 30 yards over the head of Trine's keeper Nick Thon.

After a scoreless second half, Trine got the game-winner just 1:11 into overtime as Karston Shephard won it unassisted for the Thunder. Trine outshot Adrian, 13-3, in shots on goal as Zeka made a career-high 11 saves.
