Men's Soccer suffers first loss versus Transylvania

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Bulldogs missed their chances to finish the weekend undefeated as Transylvania University took Adrian College down three to one.

The first 45 minutes saw even play that lead to a tied score at half time. The second half started off with three Pioneer goals by the 59th minute of play. The Bulldogs rallied with a goal by Nick Minshall (4th) on a header in the 79th minute of play. This sparked a late push, but Adrian College missed on scoring chances including a corner kick that heard another Minshall header ring off the post. The Bulldogs failed to score again, and they fell in a hard-fought match.

The shots totaled 17 to 10 in favor of the Pioneers with eight shots to two on goal also in favor of Transylvania.

Head Coach Chris LeFevre commented on the outcome, "the game is about capitalizing on mistakes. Both sides made mistakes that led to scoring opportunities, but Transylvania made the most of their chances, we did not."
