ANGOLA, Ind.- Adrian College travelled to Trine University for a key MIAA road match. The Bulldogs knew the result of this match was a crucial three points to remain in the hunt for the MIAA title and a post season berth.
The match was even through the first 45 minutes of play. At the break, the Bulldogs had the advantage in total shots five to four and shots on goal two to one. Adrian College continued to control the game in the second half and they displayed this in the 65th minute when they took the lead for good, 1-0. Nick Mishall scored his 12th goal of the season on an assist from Pat Bradley that left Minshall at close range. This was the only goal the Bulldogs needed and Niko Giantsopoulous sealed his shut out by stopping all three shots Trine put on goal.
Coach Chris LeFevre was impressed with his team's effort, "I thought we had a good overall performance tonight. We felt in control the majority of the game. Trine did put us under some pressure in the closing moments but we stayed strong and closed out the game. Winning on the road in the MIAA is no easy task, and I am really proud of the effort the guys put in tonight."
The Bulldogs will continue their MIAA play on Wednesday, October 9th at home against Albion.
