OLIVET, Mich.- Adrian College men's soccer met Olivet College in an away match Saturday afternoon. Olivet came out firing, and despite great efforts through all 90 minutes, the Bulldogs fell in a tough MIAA road match.
The Comets were ready for the Bulldogs as they jumped out to an early two goal lead within the first 20 minutes of game play. This two goal advantage was carried to the half with the Comets putting five shots on goal to the Bulldog's one. The second saw even game play until the 74th minute when Olivet took a commanding 3-0 lead. This did not stop Adrian from giving their all as the Bulldogs narrowed the lead to 3-1 in the 86th minute when Matt Davis scored his second of the season on a header from a Pat Bradley corner kick. This score carried until the final horn sounded, and Adrian fell to 5-5-3 overall and 3-3-1 in the MIAA.
The Bulldogs will play again at home on October 15th against Kalamazoo College at 7 p.m.
