ADRIAN, Mich. - Adrian College met Trine University Tuesday night for an MIAA match that would turn out scoreless. The tie puts the Bulldogs at 5-8-6 on the season and 3-6-3 in the MIAA.
The two teams played the first half in a defensive struggle that only saw five total shots, one shot on goal, and one corner kick. The second half was a reverse of the first as the two teams totaled a combined 17 shots with six shots on goal. Despite the offensive surege, neither team was not able to put one past the opposing goal keeper and the game remained scoreless after regulation. Adrian College would go on to dominate the bpth overtime periods by compiling eight shots to the five from the Thunder. The overtime periods were highlighted by two Nick Minshall goals that were waved off due to offsides calls. The Bulldogs were not able to put one in the net, and Lino Taormina stopped all six shots on goal from the Thunder to secure his shutout as the game finished in a 0-0 tie.
Adrian College will see action again November 2 at Albion at 2:30 p.m.
