Angola, Ind. – The Adrian College men's soccer team went on the road and came from behind to beat Trine University, 2 -1. Freshman forward Tad Davis led the Bulldogs to victory with one goal and one assist on two shots.
Adrian fell behind at the end of the first half, when Trine senior midfielder Evan VanBelle capitalized on a corner kick. The score would remain 1-0 in favor of the Thunder going into half time.
But the Bulldogs would respond early in the second half when in the 47th minute, freshman midfielder Brandon Katona would take a quick pass from Davis and put it in the back of the net, tying the game at one.
It looked like the game would need overtime when in the 88th minute Davis took a pass in the box and scored his own goal, giving Adrian the lead 2-1, which it would remain as time expired.
The Bulldogs will look to continue their win streak at home on Tuesday September 22 in a match against Hope College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
