Senior Keeper Lino Taormina Finishes Career Ranked 36th in NCAA Total Saves This Season

INDIANAPOLIS--Adrian College men's soccer senior goalkeeper Lino Taormina (Monroe, Mich./St. Mary Catholic Central High School) finished his career this fall ranked 36th nationally in total saves, according to the NCAA Division III final statistics report.

Taormina, who earned the last Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week award on Nov. 2, ended the regular season as the MIAA statistical champion with 105 saves--one shy of his career high.

The finance major posted three shutouts to equal the total he had in the three previous seasons combined.

There are 413 NCAA institutions that compete in men's soccer at the Division III level.
