FREELAND, Mich. - Brandon Katona was announced as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week by the league office.
The sophomore scored a goal in each game this week to lead the Bulldogs to two shutouts in conference road contests (3-0 at Kalamazoo and 4-0 at Olivet). Katona opened up the scoring in both games and each goal would turn into game winners.
The midfielder currently leads Adrian with 11 points (five goals, one assist). His point and goal totals are each tied for first in the MIAA.
This is the first MIAA player of th week award for Katona's career.
